Simply Sweet Cakes & Cupcakes is owned and operated by Sonali Mazmanian since 2008. Sonali has been drawing and painting since she was a little girl and grew up helping her mom who creates beautiful cakes herself and holds awards from the Sugar Artistry Society of Canada. After graduating from the Architectural Science program at Ryerson University, Sonali has gone on to work in the field of Construction Management. Her love of design and creating has never ceased and after years of watching her mother and after taking a sculpted cake and sugar flower course at Bonnie Gordon's College of Confectionery Arts, Simply Sweet Cakes & Cupcakes was born! Sonali has fallen in love with creating these sugary creations and enjoys pushing the limits of her imagination and coming up with fun and unique ideas for her clients.

"I have had the privilege of enjoying two custom cakes from Simply Sweet Cakes & Cupcakes. The four-tiered Damask stenciled wedding cake that Sonali created for my husband and I was absolutely amazing. Sonali was able to replicate the pattern brilliantly which allowed the cake to blend in perfectly with the rest of the décor (invites, menu's, table clothes etc.). The mascarpone and raspberry filled cake was delicious and we enjoyed eating the topper (which we froze) this past summer as we celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary!!!
The second cake that I had made was a surprise for my husband's 30th birthday. He is a big fan of South Park and I thought that it would be fun to have a cake made replicating the characters. Sonali did an outstanding job on this cake and her attention to detail was remarkable. I couldn't have asked for anything more from either of the cakes that Sonali created. She is an amazing artist who creates spectacular cakes and I look forward to future opportunities of enjoying more of her work!!!"
